Fallen heroes to be remembered on reconciliation day

As part of the Gauteng Provincial Government's reconciliation Day programme fallen anti-apartheid struggle heroes will be honoured and remembered on 16 December 2009 at Freedom Park in Pretoria.

The event, which will be celebrated under the theme, "Celebrating unity in diversity: paying tribute to the veterans", will honour those who have lost their lives in the fight for democracy.

The event will be attended by President Jacob Zuma, Arts and Culture Minister Lulu Xingwana and Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane.
